EDUCATIONMy first year of college I attended Lafayette College, located in Easton, Pennsylvania. Here, I studied Biology on a Pre-Health track, as I always knew I was interested in pursuing a health sciences degree. After research and experiencing my own personal health journey, I realized that Nutrition was my calling and I decided to transfer to Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Sciences located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. As a sophomore at Rutgers, I declared a Nutritional Sciences major on the dietetics track and began my professional studies working towards the long term goal of becoming a registered dietitian. |

MY HEALTH JOURNEYMy entire life I have struggled with understanding how to properly nourish my body. As a very physically active individual always involved in sports, I was not eating in a way that positively benefited my life. Instead, I always felt fatigued and unhappy with how my body felt after a meal. One day I decided this needed to change. As a self-taught weight lifter I began to understand the relationship between the mind and body. My mindset was quickly influenced by the power of food and its nutritional content. As a dietetic student I am extremely passionate about simply helping other people. My goal is to inspire others to also transition their lifestyle to reflect a nutritionally-friendly way of life. Positive change is possible. One of my favorite aspects about nutrition is that is a very preventative-focused field-- proper nutrition education can truly change lives, as it did with my own life.
